The AsiaSoft & PlayPark Forums Guidelines are to be observed by the users of the AsiaSoft & PlayPark Forums.


All forum users have deemed to have read and agreed to these guidelines upon registration for the AsiaSoft & PlayPark Forums. The AsiaSoft & PlayPark Forums Code of Conduct are subjected to change and amended without prior notification.


The AsiaSoft Forums seek to bring about a regulated and flexible environment that encourages and promotes community building within AsiaSoft members.



1.0 � Introduction to Asiasoft & PlayPark forums


The AsiaSoft & PlayPark Forums is a property of AsiaSoft Online Pte Ltd.


All forum users have deemed to have read and agreed to these guidelines upon registration for the AsiaSoft Forums. The AsiaSoft Forums Guidelines are subjected to change and amendments without prior notification.


All players who have signed up for an AsiaSoft Passport are to abide by its Terms and Conditions made during registration.


Warnings and suspension of forum accounts are definite consequences for not adhering to the rules. Ignorance will not be accepted as valid reasons for breaking them.


Decisions are made at the discretion of the AsiaSoft Forums Moderators and Administrators. Moderators and Administrators reserve all rights to remove, modify or shift any posts or rules at their sole discretion without prior notice. Forums Moderators are entitled to issue warnings to forum offenders in unique and specific circumstances apart from these guidelines.



2.0 � Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd Staff (Game Masters & Moderators)


Game Masters (GMs) are responsible for maintaining peace and order (In-game, Forums and On site Events) by catching hackers, scammers and other offenders violating the User Abuse Policies. Lag and in-game bugs / glitches cannot be resolved by the GMs, but by the game developers, e.g. Wizet, Ntreev Soft, T3 Entertainment, Mega Enterprise. They are the Managers of the Game.


Moderators can be full-time staff, or community developers that are non-salaried volunteers who provide assistance to the forum users and Game Masters.


Constructive feedback is always welcome. However, AsiaSoft Online and the Forum Moderators are not obliged to implement any suggestions or provide any response to any petitions.


Offenses involving the following will result in severe consequences:

- Attempting to defame, discredit or challenge AsiaSoft Management / Forum Moderators authorities.

- Attempting to threaten AsiaSoft Online Management / Forum Moderators.


A permanent suspension will be awarded with or without warning to the Forum user who violate any of the Rules repeatedly.


If you feel that the suspensions made by the forum moderators seem unjustified or are made in bad judgement, please feedback and appeal through our forumsupport@asiasoftsea.net and our forum administrator will conduct an investigation.


Please note that appeals without reasonable explanations and/or appeals with rude remarks will not be entertained.



3.0 � Forum custom feature rules


3.1 - Custom Titles / Location / IGN


Forum users are not to place any of the following in their custom title / location / IGN.


- Messages with the nature or intent to impersonate the Moderators / GameMasters / Asiasoft Personnel.

- Messages insulting players; promoting adult behaviour and suggestive actions.

- Posting of any form of referral links. (E.g. Emailcashpro)


Forums Moderators have the right to remove any offending custom titles. Frequent abuse of custom title will result in custom title rights being removed indefinitely for the abuser without any room for appeals.



3.2 - Signature


Please keep image(s) to a framesize of 600 x 200 pixels plus a maximum of 5 lines of text at font size 1 or 4 lines at font size 2. Forum users are to refrain from using signature image that are larger than 300 kb in total. Large signature size will slow down the loading time of forum pages. Please be considerate to others.


Forum users are not to place any of the following in their signatures:


- Messages/images with the nature or intent to impersonate the Moderators / GameMasters / Asiasoft Personnel.

- Messages/images insulting players; promote adult behaviour and suggestive actions; violence; gruesome material; and/or pornography.

- Posting of any form of referral links. (E.g. Emailcashpro)


Forums Moderators have the right to remove any offending signatures and/or signatures that are not within the stated frame size. Notice will be given prior to warnings. If the warnings are not heeded or taken seriously, the signature rights will be removed indefinitely for the abuser without any room for appeals.


Youtube embed is prohibited as signatures.



3.3 - Report function


The Report function helps to the alert the Forum Moderators to a specific post. This is exceptionally helpful with regards to posts such as unexpected game difficulties, hacking and other illegal activities.



3.4 � Youtube Embedding


As there have been an increasing number of forum users abusing the function of mass embedding auto-play YouTube videos, the auto-play feature have increase forum bandwidth which have caused an annoyance to many other forum users. The moderation team decided to ban the usage of auto-plays on all youtube embed videos.



4.0 - Guidelines and Etiquette for Discussion Topics/Posting (All Forums)


4.1 � Announcements & stickied threads


The Forums Moderator and/or Game Moderators will pin up news and announcements of Forum and Game News Updates regularly. Update yourself with the latest news and happenings before posting new threads.



4.2 � Always post in correct sections


Please post your topic in the correct section. Read the short descriptions of each forum section to determine the most appropriate place to start your new thread.



4.3 - Choose your topic/thread title wisely


To allow other forum users to know the forum discussion contains, you are advised to put an appropriate title to your forum topic. If you wish to generate a buzz with your discussion, it is your responsibility to inform other users what your thread is about.



4.4 � Utilize the search function


Repeated topics can cause frustrations to other users who have limited time. It is annoying to find the same discussion scattered with little or no development in content.


Before posting the topic,


- Kindly check if a similar topic exists on the first page of the forum section it belongs to.

- Use the Search function first before deciding if there is a need to create new threads for discussion.



4.5 Spamming


Forum users are to keep their post content constructive. Do not make pointless threads or spam. Spam is defined as post(s) that have no relevance to the threads topic, or have no purpose in general.


Spamming includes the following activities:


- Blatant advertising

- Excessive creation of topics and posts in the forums

- Excessive bumping of threads, be it new or old

- Excessive creation of new threads with the sole intention to promote another



4.6 - One topic/thread for one discussion


Posting one discussion thread at the relevant forum section is enough. Do not create multiple topics to advertise the main thread or seek responses for the discussion everywhere. Posting the discussion thread across different forums and subsections in great quantity will be regarded as spamming.



4.7 - Bumping


Bumping is not encouraged. Please do so sparingly if necessary. Allow at least 30 minutes to pass before the next bump.


Do not bump (bring-my-post-up) new topics and topics on the first page excessively for the purpose of seeking attention from other forum users.


Please do not bump old topics. If the newest post-to-be is 2 months old and beyond from the date of the last post, you are advised to create a new thread for discussion.



4.8 - Quoting


When quoting, do it selectively and remove image tags / pictures / video tags.


Quote only the post which you wish to address and refrain from multi-quoting. If there is a picture or video in the quote, please remove the [IMG] tag / picture / video tag.



4.9 - House Keeping rules


Forum housekeeping procedures are required to speed up forum loading speed and prevent server crashes.


All threads that contain more than 1000 posts will be locked and the users taking part in the discussion are required to either restart a similar thread, or discontinue the discussion.


However, there will be an exception for Guild and School Discussion Threads whereby the thread will only be locked and moved into the archives once its reaches 2000 posts.


For Pinned Threads (Forumites' outings, Official Announcements, Events) will be exempted from the >1000/2000 post lock rule.



4.10 - Respect all forum users


Please treat others the same way you will want to be treated.


Opinions are valued and welcome from everyone. Please keep all personal conflicts to yourself and have discussions, not arguments. If you disagree with another member, post your comment calmly so other can understand your point and feelings. Do not insult the intelligence of the other users. If a member gets on your nerves, do not go out of your way to insult them. Last but not least, treat others like how you want to be treated.



4.11 - Flaming/Trolling/Slandering


Users are to refrain from flaming, trolling and slandering. Please exercise sound judgment before posting or creating threads that might draw flames from other forum users due to the sensitive contents involved.


Flaming involves attacking a person or his/her views in a disrespectful manner.


Trolling involves the posting of flaming content with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or consistent disrespectful attacks for entertainment.


Slandering involves falsifying a situation or person in an attempt to defame or insult.


Users of the forums are to refrain from personal attacks and the usage of profanities in their posts. Any user caught using inappropriate language and insults will be infracted.



4.12 - Posting of Private Information


In the Internet community, information is accessible to all. It is the individual�s responsibility to safeguard their own interests. If the personal information is not your own, you are not to post the information without the prior permission from the individual of concern.


Posting personal information of Asiasoft Online staff, member or non-member of the community site is prohibited. This includes the posting of real name, address, phone numbers and e-mails.



4.13 - Discussions of Other Game Services


The Asiasoft Forums & PlayPark Forums are catered specifically to published games by Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd.


If you wish to have a more in-depth discussion about a non AsiaSoft Online Pte Ltd published game, you can do so via the respective game�s official forums or discussion boards (if any).


Threads regarding other game titles are to be posted at The Backyard & The Playground only. Such threads are subjected to moderation and may be removed without prior notification or warning.


Any posts which attempts to tout/solicit/pull crowd to other game services are strictly not allowed and may lead to suspension.



4.14 - Language use in forum


Forum users are only allowed to use english & mandarin (chinese) in our forums. No other languages are allowed including malay, japanese, korean and special text which increases difficulty of understanding (Eg. Inverted text)



4.15 - Religious & Political Topics


Religious & political topics should not be posted on the Asiasoft Online Forums. Topics of such nature will be closed and/or deleted.



4.16 -Trolls and Trolling


Trolling is strictly prohibited on the Asiasoft Online Forums. A troll is someone with low self esteem and seek emotional gratification from online communities who intentionally create posts to upset other users. They often post content that are meant to cause division in the community or force you to argue with them. Please do not respond to topics created by trolls. Use the report function to alert our moderators and GameMasters so that prompt action will be taken.



5.0 � Prohibited acts in Asiasoft & PlayPark Forums


5.1 - Inappropriate Images/Contents


As our forums are visited by users of all age groups, matured content of 18+ are not allowed in our discussion forums. Any explicit discussions or images will be removed by our moderation team.

This includes images in signatures, and post contents that insult players; promote adult behaviour and suggestive actions; violence; gruesome material; pornography and/or any other explicit content.



5.2 � Topics of conspiracy


Any posts stating, insinuating or leading to the idea of a conspiracy regarding the Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd and any Customer Service Representative of those companies granting favoritism to any race, clan, group, or player will be removed without notice with the possibility of account suspension.



5.3 - Advertising


Advertising is not allowed. This will include all 3rd party websites non-relating to AsiaSoft Online titles unless otherwise stated. Seek permission from the Moderators before posting if in doubt.


Forum users are not allowed to advertise, recommend or request for any form of medium that violates AsiaSoft Online games� policies, e.g. websites or chat rooms that are created to sell or buy accounts / in-game currencies.


The AsiaSoft Forums is not a potential venue for forum users to generate business for your enterprise or personal stores. If you wish to promote your business, please take it elsewhere outside of the Forums.


Examples of advertising include but not limited to:

- Posting of website containing keyloggers / hacks.

- Posting of scamming material.

- Posting of any form of referral links.

- Posting of private servers material.

- Posting of any material deemed illegal by law or individual AsiaSoft Online games� policies.

- Real cash trading of non-game material (e.g. Selling Nintendo DS, buying / selling used prepaid cards).



5.4 - Sensitive topics/subjects


Users are not allowed to engage in sensitive issues relating to religion, culture, race and any others sedition discussions. We are a multi racial community. Any negative remarks towards another race or religion will be removed and infraction points will be given accordingly.



5.5 - Posting of rumors & false information


Future content for all Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd products will be moderated by our Community Moderators.


Posts touching on this topic have a high chance to be removed if its content is not from Official Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd web notices.


Please keep in mind that the content from other game servers varies from SEA versions.


Releasing of false information in an attempt to cause disturbance and confusion among forum users will not be tolerated.



5.6 - Hack discussions


The Asiasoft & PlayPark Forums do not support any discussion involving the distribution of third party software / applications (inclusive of unauthorized window modes), memory editors, hacks / keyloggers, or any form of actions that can alter any of AsiaSoft Online titles, violating the User Abuse Policies.



5.7 - Beware of unknown/unofficial patch files


All players are strongly encouraged to download the respective games� patches via their official websites. Patch files from other unauthorized websites may contain keyloggers, viruses, or modified files deemed not legit / not approved by the game developers and AsiaSoft Online.



5.8 - No discussions on bug & glitch exploits


Exploiting any bugs or glitches from AsiaSoft published game titles and the AsiaSoft Forums will not be tolerated. In the case of exploitation, the forum users� AsiaSoft Passports and related accounts will be referred to the management for appropriate action.



5.9 - No distributing of copyright files


All music files and contents in AuditionSEA are licensed to Yedang online and T3 Entertainment. Music files and contents in MapleSEA solely belong to Wizet. Players do not have the rights to distribute the copyrighted files in any way as it is illegal by law.



5.10 - No Discussions prohibited by law


Any form of discussion prohibited by your local government laws will be not be tolerated. This may include the distribution of warez, or locally licensed anime titles (not restricted to U.S. licenses), etc.



5.11 - Beware of malicious files


It is impossible for the Moderators to download, scan and test each file posted on the AsiaSoft Forums. Forum users are advised to conduct a thorough scan on all downloaded files to ensure the safety of their possessions.



5.12 - Abusing of Report function


The Report function helps to the alert the AsiaSoft Forum Moderators to a specific post. This is exceptionally helpful with regards to posts such as unexpected game difficulties, hacking and other illegal activities.



5.13 - Auto-play on youtube embed


As there have been an increasing number of forum users abusing the function of mass embedding auto-play YouTube videos, the auto-play feature have increase forum bandwidth which have caused an annoyance to many other forum users. The moderation team decided to ban the usage of auto-plays on all youtube embed videos.



5.14 - No Multiple forum accounts allowed


Each forum user are entitled to 1 forum account. The moderation team have the rights to suspend all multiple forum accounts.



5.15 - Plagiarism


Plagiarism is prohibited in the Asiasoft Online Forums. Please credit the author/source of the content.



6.0 - Miscellaneous


6.1 - Confidentiality of Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd


Forum users are not allowed to publish any of Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd contacts due to security reasons and purposes.


Forum users are not allowed to publish or discuss iBox/email/Live Chat replies in any of our discussion forums.


If forum users wish to make any form of enquiries with AsiaSoft Online, please do so via the proper official communication channels. (Email/iBox/Live Chat)



6.2 - Expecting response from GM


The discussion forums is not the place for you to address your issue/enquiries to a Game Master and expect a response from them.

7.0 - Forum Trading Guidelines


7.1 - Posting in the correct forum sections


All trade and price check threads should be posted in the appropriate market and World. For example, if your a maple player from Bootes who wish to start a trade thread, make sure you post in the correct forum. (Asiasoft Forums > MapleSEA Episode 3 > MapleSEA Episode 2 Trade Market > Bootes) Sub sections are created to aid players in categorizing their sales by servers and class.



7.2 - Strictly no hijacking of other players threads


Disruption of trade threads may come in the following forms, or more:


Quote:

- Intentional flaming of a trade thread.

- The above includes the posting of Sales Dispute Resolution forum topics to disrupt the trade.

- Posting of advertisements in another person's thread to attract other people to the poster's thread.

- Persistent debating on the price offered by the seller/buyer.

To ensure fair competition in the market, Maplers are advised not to hijack and disrupt another person's thread, and create a new thread to sell their item themselves.


Forum users are not to insist on what price should be correct as market prices will raise or drop according to demand and supply. If the buyer finds the price unacceptable, refrain from making any unnecessary remarks.


Instead of hijacking or intruding into other forum users� trade threads, please create a new thread for your item(s). This ensures fair competition in the trade markets. 1 Warning point can be issued for disruption of others sales thread.



7.3 - Appropriate thread title naming and details given


All threads should be tagged with either one of the following, according to the nature of the trading topic:


Quote:

S> Sales Topic (Selling an item at a specific price)

A> Auction Topic (Selling an item with bidding and offers by buyers)

T> Trade Topic (Trading an item for another item)

B> Buying Topic

P/C> Price-checking Topic (This is for price-checking purposes only.)



The following will be required of the trading topics according to their nature:


Sales Topics


- The details of the item. (Screenshots of the items are preferred.) Indicate the stats of the equipments:

1.Sellers have the right to choose the buyer they will want to sell the item to in the event where more than one person offers to buy the item at the straight-sell price.


2.Buyers are to leave their message with IGN information at the topic.


3.If in-game/outsidebids/offers are accepted, sellers are advised to update the topic with the information of the IGNs of bidders obtained in the game. However, the Administrators and Moderators of PlayPark Forums is not responsible for any Trade/Sales disputes, all disputes please direct to the MapleSEA Trade Sales Dispute Resolution Forums


Auction Topics


Quote:

NOTE:


1. This is for price-checking purposes only. Topics that have buying/selling/auction/trading and price-checking combined will be sent to the litter bin without warning.


Note:

- Moderators has all authority to close or infract any threads who are suspected to be participating in illegal trades.

- Threads with SGD/RM or abbreviations used to replace SGD/RM/RMT (Real Money Trading) are strictly not allowed and can be awarded 5 WP immediately for illegal trading.

- All contact information such as HP number/E-mail is to be left at your own risk as no privacy laws will be covered for self information shared on a public forum. Moderators has rights to remove any information if you are suspected to be involve in illegal trading.

- Failure to comply to moderator's warnings will lead to instant account suspension.



7.4 - No external links allowed except for sale product information


External links to other sites (e.g. Basil Market) are not permitted. Only external links to show information of the sale product and internal links to Sales Dispute Resolution forum topics related to a trading deal will be allowed.



7.5 - Honesty, Dishonesty and Sales Dispute Resolution Forums


Sellers and buyers are advised to hold their end of the bargain. If you place your items in the forums for sale or placed an order or bid, you are advised to honor it and not withdraw from the trading deal.


For all unhappiness and bogus seller/buyer alerts related to Trading matters in the Trading sections, please direct them to the Sales Dispute Resolution Forum located at the Player�s Content Section of MapleSEA Forums.



7.6 - Closing of trade threads


Always close the thread by editing the thread post with a close tag example "[Closed] S>Gold Arund & some Stuffs" Once you have completed your trading/sales/etc. You do not have to edit the original content of the post. The PlayPark Forums Moderators will prune all closed threads on a regular basis.



7.7 - Trading of mesos between Worlds and trading of fame


Trading mesos of different Worlds (e.g. Trading Aquila mesos for Bootes mesos) and Fame are not encouraged to reduce the number of potential scams.


Forum users who wish to conduct such trades are doing so at their own risk. AsiaSoft Online will not be held responsible if such scams arise.



7.8 - Trading of items and game currency between different games are not allowed


Trading game currency eg. mesos, alz, gold between different games are not allowed in Asiasoft forums. 5 WP can be awarded for Trade/Buy/Sell Game Currencies for other game currencies.



7.9 - Buying / selling of maps or Free Market spots, hiring of map guarders


All maps in MapleStory are free for all and solely belong to Nexon; players do not have the rights to dominate or conduct sales for a particular map.


By "purchasing" a map from others, it is a monetary trade only between the seller and you, with no involvement with any maps or whatsoever. You do not the ownership of the map, and other players have the right to use or share the same map.


AsiaSoft Online will not be held responsible if any scams arise from such trades. Moderators have the rights to have such threads locked and removed without notice.



7.10 - Trading Forums Disclaimer


As much as the PlayPark Moderators will like to protect the interests of all our PlayPark Forum Members, we will not be responsible for any bad deals in the MapleSEA Trade Forums. However, will try our best to minimize any possibilities from happening All PlayPark Members are to participate in trades at their OWN RISK.



7.11 - Asiasoft Products User Abuse Policy


As stated in our respective products' user abuse policy, the following transactions are prohibited both in the PlayPark Forums or in-game:


Buying, selling or trading in game items for real or other game currency.

Buying, selling or trading mesos for real or other game currencies / items,

Buying, selling or trading of AsiaSoft Passport / game accounts.

Buying, selling or trading of free game coupons/codes given out on events.


All virtual items in game titles published by AsiaSoft Online belong solely to the game developers.


Although the A-Cash card is not a virtual item, it belongs to the owner who possess it till the expiry date stated on the A-Cash card.


Do note that there will be an administrative charge of SGD$50 for resolving any ownership claims. AsiaSoft Passports sold for commercial gains / traded for another Passport will have all accounts wiped before returning to the owner.
