Suggested guide on how to play maplestory on Windows 8

The following are the steps I did to fix my windows 8 to play maple.
Steps
1) Go to the link
http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=29 . Download and Install windows C++ on your windows 8. It does not come pre-installed in windows.
2) Run Maplestory as administrator. Do not use any compatitibility for any other earlier windows versions!
3) Enjoy your game.
Maple should run smoothly after the game hacking protection sign disappears.

I have follow this guide but I am getting another error:
error code: -2147221008(Colnitialize has not been called.)
